building a distortion pedal

finished assembling a rat-style distortion pedal. designed the pcb in kicad, ordered from jlcpcb, populated it last night.

circuit is based on the proco rat but with some modifications:

• different clipping diodes (1n4148 instead of led)
• added a bass boost switch
• higher gain pot value

sounds aggressive. exactly what i wanted. total cost: ~$15 including enclosure.
